Screening for Plagiarism
Interdisciplinary Journal of Pedagogy and Research in Media Technology is committed to ensuring that all authors comply with international standards of academic integrity, particularly concerning plagiarism.
Plagiarism occurs when an author uses ideas, information, or words from another source without proper acknowledgment. Whether intentional or unintentional, plagiarism is a serious academic violation and is unacceptable in international scholarly publications.
When authors use specific information such as names, dates, places, statistical data, or other detailed facts obtained from a particular source, proper citation is required. This requirement does not apply only to widely recognized general knowledge.
When authors adopt ideas from other researchers, citations are required even if the ideas are further developed. This includes interpretations of data, methodological choices, or conclusions drawn from existing literature. The original source must always be cited before elaborating on the new contribution.
When authors reproduce words from another source, both citation and quotation marks are mandatory. If four or more consecutive words are identical to the original source, quotation marks must be used in addition to the citation.
The journal takes academic integrity very seriously, and the editors reserve the right to withdraw acceptance of manuscripts that violate these ethical standards. For further information, authors may contact the editorial office at joces.publication@gmail.com.
